While our Christian brethren will observe Easter tomorrow, so too will we remember the resurrected Christ, as we do every week. This Sunday we had a great visit from “John Woolman,” as portrayed by Charles Bruner of the Woolman Memorial in nearby Mt Holly. Bruner gave ministry drawn from the 18-century abolitionist. We had eight new visitors, many drawn by publicity for the event.

Tomorrow’s the day to meet John Woolman on his visit to Cropwell Meeting. Learn how South Jersey Quakers came to oppose slavery and lobby their spiritual compatriots on religious visits across the British colonies.

Worship at 10, Woolman’s visit around 11, and a yummy Cropwell potluck afterwards (bring something to share!). And remember the time change tonight!

A big thanks to Lila and Debbie, who reorganized the kitchen drawers this week. We even have accurate labels! The bulletin board has also gotten a refresh and looks great.

Today’s session of Haddonfield Quarterly Meeting

Today’s session of Haddonfield Quarterly Meeting was spiritually deep and productive. After a time of silent worship we had worship sharing prompted by Rex Ambler’s pamphlet “Living in Dark Times.” After lunch we came back together for business, where we heard some reports and approved the next year’s budget. It was lovely having the whole quarter over to Cropwell once more.
